Cavin'.
A li'l friend I met at the dog park.
And then we went to a real head trip of a Denver landmark known as Casa Bonita—a "restaurant" where the food is truly mind-bogglingly terrible (but you can't enter without buying some), and the atmosphere is overwhelmingly amazing. Cliff divers, a 30-foot waterfall, arcade games, puppet shows, a pirate's cave, etc. (I get why Cartman is obsessed.) As this blogger aptly put it: "It's like Disney had sex with Tijuana and left the goofy-looking bastard to fend for itself in a random strip mall on Colfax." These pics of Casa B are kinda fuzzy, but so was my head after drinking a watery and way-too-sweet "Sangria Swirl." Taste the magic:
The gross food comes out through a hole in the wall!
Eric, the diver of the evening. Age 17 maybe? 18?
I'm sure many a party princess has had her bday here.
The game "Big Bertha" looks like it has been here since the '70s. (Free Bertha!!)
I heckled Eric all evening, but we still took a pic together. He's cool like that.
To the hot springs.
Dillion Dam Brewery.
Drag Queen bingo at Hamburger Mary's.
See you later, Colorado. (Smell ya later, Casa Bonita.)
